Once again, art is saving my life. Art is reaching out to me and I am staring at her in awe from the bottom of this rock bottom. She is singing to me through poetry. She is guiding me towards colors that bring me Life. Art is effortlessly being her and carelessly tugging at my heart strings because she knows me, she feels me, she gets me.

Oscar Gregory is still abusing the ones that love him. He has little control of his life outside of the television remote. He still continues to search for satisfaction by bringing me down, invading my space, and calling me outside of my name. He can never call me a Bitch and look me in my eyes and, through the magic of Art, I am finding power in that. The following video has been my mantra when this man is 1000% dedicated to push my buttons:

Art saved my life years ago when I had no ounce of self-love, self-respect, or self-awareness. Through Art, I was able to combine colors and bring textures to Life that depicted emotions I did not yet understand. Through Art, I was able to dig myself out of layers of bullshit intended to hide my pain, my anger, my hurt. Through Art, I was able to liberate parts of me that I suffocated out of fear. I was able to reach a peak of happiness and self-acceptance.

As stated in the video, Life is Life and as Life goes: Challenges will still rise, lows are still to come, and new life lessons are always on their way. Through Oscar Gregory's abuse, my own anger scared me into depression. My anger boiled as I thought of all the people abused and manipulated by this man. I lost myself in feeling all of their struggles and all their unresolved issues ignited a wild fire within me. I wanted to fuck shit up out of hatred for this man, and not love. Before this fire burned everything around me, I shut down.

Day by day, Art is finding ways into my heart. Art is sneaking in and bringing Light in with it. I find comfort is other artist's commitment to share Love as well. Culture Hustlers has proven itself to be a one of a kind community of artists, dreamers, and a hell of a support system.

I am finding poetry whispering itself into my soul, slipping through the cracks of my damaged existence. I am finding stories painted on canvasses reminding me of everything that is beautiful. Art shared by others are creeping into my hole and building a ladder for me to climb out one step at a time.

Art is a powerful thing. Thank you for letting me share my art with you. I hope that my art also brings you inspiration. I have a series of art that I am creating as I am finding myself again, and when the time is right for me- I'll be so happy to share it with you. I'll be so happy to share with you layers of this experience that can't be expressed in words. May you experience the magical vibrations that is ART. I love you.
