Hi my name is Amanda. This is my first time writing a blog and I hope you enjoy it. I wanted to discuss the topic of quarantine life and how it's effecting everyone. I also wanted to give you some ideas of things to do when you're feeling down. This is a big change for everyone and I know it can be hard to deal with this new way of life but just know that you are not alone. It feels like we have taken everything about the normal life that we are used to for granted. In this trying time it is very important to take care of your physical and mental health. Self care and self love are extremely important for your well being. Especially in times of great stress. I challenge all of my readers to grab a piece of paper and think of things that you can do that make you happy and make a list and put it somewhere where you can see it like in your room or on your refrigerator. You could frame it and put it on your wall. I'm going to share my list with you guys to give you some ideas:
Dance in my room.
Sing
Journal about things you are thankful for.
Work out
Listen to positive affirmations on youtube.
Call, text, or facetime a friend or family member.
Read a few pages of a book.
Go on a nature walk.
Learn a new hobby.
Organize or a clean something.
Take a hot bath with epsom salts and essential oils.
Learn to meditate.
Journal about your goals for the week.
Read a self help book.
Do something creative or artsy.
Cry when you need to.
Learn a new skill.
Stretch.
Pamper yourself.
Love yourself.
Take breaks from social media.
Take breaks from the news.
Draw, paint,or scrapbook.
Make a schedule and stick to it.
Eat healthy.
Smoke weed.
So that is my list of things that make me happy. I hope some of these can help you to feel better when you're feeling down. Keep your chin up. You are badass and you can do anything you set your mind to. A good thing to do with this time is to work on self development. I'm going to be working on my self confidence and just practicing self love daily. I believe in you <3
