#SumItUpSunday: August 9th, 2020

Updated: Aug 10, 2020

This previous week, the BeYouForYou Network focused on the importance of "Boundaries"- various understandings, and how the boundaries you establish are a reflection of you.

Personally, the concept of Boundaries is one of the most important things to respect in a relationship. I've mentioned many times beforehand that we define success on our own terms based on the life experiences we have faced from birth. We live with learned beliefs and learned behaviors and the boundaries we set forth are based on the lessons learned throughout our walk in life.

Recently, a lot of past trauma resurfaced and led to many panic attacks. As a collective, we are facing a lot of overwhelming emotions and that is perfectly OKAY. As an individual, when boundaries are not respected beliefs that stem from me being raped at a young age reemerge. Currently, I am working on separating the 1.Facts, 2. My beliefs, and 3. my Accountability in the equation. It is not always rainbows and butterflies because in all honesty, sometimes I want to just let anger win and enjoy that instant gratification. I never saw it coming that embarking in my own business would shift something so drastically within me. I love it (sometimes I hate it and it's only cause it's hard).

If someone in your circle establishes new boundaries, respect them. As stated throughout the videos published this week, Boundaries are set not to hurt others but to construct a healthy relationship between all parties. Committing to my own business has taught me many lessons and among them this one: "Boundaries are essential and Balance is key. On-going discipline".

"Boundaries set the tone & also allow people to understand your limitations, in a sense your love language and what can simply not be crossed.

As humans we learn through Trial and error. "
