#SumItUpSunday: September 27th, 2020

Hello there beautiful people! I hope that this week brought you clarity and moments of self-appreciation.

I will admit, sometimes it is difficult for me to pick and choose what these weekly articles will be about. Life is a crock-pot of layers and complexities. Life is filled with things to celebrate and things to grieve all at the same time. Twenty-twenty has been quite the year! This year has been filled with a lot of time to reflect, a lot of opportunities to take action, and a lot of information being transmitted through us.

Personally, I have been blessed with time to be able to process things that the "hustle and bustle" pre-covid life never provided. It is a blessing and curse. I learned recently that the busy-ness of life kept me preoccupied enough to allow my own anger to be dismissed. The more time I had yielded more time for me to think and more time for me to recall things I had put in the back burner. In short, there has been a lot of anger that shook my world recently and I also became really angry at myself for allowing myself to get angry. Does that make sense?

It has not ALL been bad and anger, there were a lot of moments of joy throughout this week as well. In moments of passion, it is easy to focus in on the bad things that are happening. In these times that we live in too, you have no idea if you will scroll through social media and be pleasantly entertained or if you will run into a viral video of a Life being wrongfully taken.

Again, Life is a crock-pot of layers and complexities and this shit is no joke. Life is tough but you are tougher. This week's article will include a recap of this week's motivational content and will be concluded with a couple of things that I do, personally, to keep me sane and grounded during these times.

#MottoMonday: September 21st, 2020

I think that fear is a very reasonable thing to experience. Life can be a scary place because scary people do exist. Personally, I have experienced it too many times to belittle the fuckery that life sometimes is.

I have also experienced so many moments of joy in my life to not want to take risks! Life can be hella scary but it can also be absolutely amazing. Life overall is a beautiful adventure with many sights to see and many memories to build. Don't allow the winds of the storms to dim your light! You are here to experience the beauties of life as well as bring some beauty to it as well. Dream big and work hard!

#TastyTuesday: September 22nd. 2020

@lifeyieldsfood loves to mention the layers to food and the experience of nourishing oneself. He chose this quote by Micheal Pollan, because "fewer words have never upheld such a truth, of its' like."

So thank you micheal pollan, and your' many written works on culinary philosophy.

#WildcardWednesday: September 23rd, 2020

The video shared for this week's WildcardWednesday was from David, @fauxtivational_speaker, a "conscious content creator, teacher, writer, actor, who specializes in comparative spirituality." This video was shared with me by my very good friend, and your favorite writer: Carmen Hernandez.

There isn't much for me to say other than sit down, turn the volume up, and then hit that "replay" button. I have been panicking a lot lately and mainly because things seem to be falling in place. This video gave me a confirmation that I didn't need but certainly assured me that everything is perfectly fine and everything is happening as it was always meant to. I am worthy, and so are you!

#ThankfulThursday: September 24th, 2020

This week's ThankfulThursday post was a short "Thank You" letter to myself. When I tell ya'll that I have been emotionally struggling to keep pushing, I mean just that! It has been a struggle. Life is hard. There is no if, butts, nor coconuts regarding that.

Sometimes, life slaps you a little harder than it has in a while and it may be easier to focus on the "fall-backs" than the "come-backs". Moments like these happen. During these times, I challenge you to write a "Thank You" letter to your awesome self. I challenge you to take your time to acknowledge your growth, your bad-ass existence, and most of all: take time to acknowledge that you are resilient as fuck.

#FineArtFriday: September 25th, 2020

For this week's FineArtFriday, we celebrated your favorite chef: Christian Gregory.

Christian is my husband and I am his wife. I will not go into details regarding how we celebrated his birthday as I will give him his space to share what he would like to share and to keep what he would like to keep private. I will say this, "your partner deserves to be showered with Love". Regardless of modern roles, and regardless of masc and femme energy, I challenge you to surprise your partner with thoughtful acts. Thoughtful ACTS not gifts, I challenge you to create a memory with your partner. You know what your partner likes and why, show 'em that you care!

The BeYouForYou Network Channel is transitioning outside of 3rd party platforms and into securing its content within its own website. Thank you for working with us!

The daily motivational videos are intended to highlight the Good, the Bad, and everything in between in our discipline to Give Love, Receive Love, and Be Love.

Be a friend, share with a friend.

Two thangs to do when things get a little crazy in your head.

I don't have all the answers to all the questions that I have in my head. I don't always offer the best advice to my friends. There is so much that makes absolutely no sense to me. There is one thing that I am clear on though and that is that fact that we, as individuals, have the tenacity to get through anything!

These are two habits that work for me:

-Morning nature walks with you, yourself, and your bad ass self. The most known habit is to wake up and go straight to your phone. Let's break that cycle. Scrolling through your phone is a gamble and you shouldn't roll dice first thing in the morning. Instead, give yourself sometime to enjoy yourself and to enjoy the sun that has brought you this new day. This morning nature walk can be anywhere between 10min to 45min. Listen to your body and go out of your way to ground yourself within yourself before you take on the world's challenges.

-Separate time to work and time to play. Many of us have been challenged to think of new, creative, and innovative ways to make a living now a days. Personally, I struggle BIG TIME with pumping my own breaks. I have my annual vision board, my monthly goals, my weekly outline, and then my schedule for the day. If you do not have these, it is perfectly fine! Honestly, it just means that you are kind of a normal person. There was a point when I thought such behaviors were just ridiculous. I became this person for my own reasons and you will get there when you get there as well. Regardless of where you are with your vision boards, it is vital to create a daily schedule for yourself. It can be an intricate and very detailed schedule if that works for you. It can also be a simple To-Do list on a post-it note. Regardless of how you choose to organize your day, it is very important to separate work time and play time. It is important to get your ducks at least on the same side of the sidewalk. I have yet to be able to get my shit together but organizing my tasks on a daily basis certainly has proven to work and get me closer to my goals: one step at a time. I hope it works for you as well.

These two things seem quite simple, don't they? They are. The challenge is doing it regularly regardless if you feel your best self or "not your best self". You know the quote, "an apple a day keeps the doctor away"? Apply that same energy to these daily habits as well. Nature and accountability keeps the bullshit away. Thank you guys for taking your time to read this week's article. May your week be dope.

Keep in mind your power and work with Carmen Hernandez as she continues to educate and make changes one decision at a time.

Thank you guys for stopping by! May this coming week's challenges inspire to be stronger and kinder than ever. May this week be filled with Love, Patience, and Evolution.
